OUR HISTORY

First documented in 1527 in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Herrnbräu is one of the oldest beers in the world. For nearly five centuries its brewers have honoured the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516 — only malt, hops, yeast and water — an art rewarded with gold medals at the DLG International Quality Test. From crisp Helles and Premium Pils to unfiltered Hefe Weißbier, every bottle still carries that old Bavarian craft.
